This tool is more for older learners. This can guide a class discussion or you can have the class write their thoughts, then share afterwards. This works well after a simulation, role-play, or skit.
A) What?
What did they observe? What did they notice? What feeling/thoughts/ideas did they have during the experience? You could ask them to think of or write their observations while they are watching the skit or simulation.
B)So what? What do they learn from the experience? Ask them why they think you chose to do the activity. How does it relate to the story/lesson? Encourage them to compare it or connect it to other experiences they have had (personally or read/saw in a movie/book.
C)Now what? This is the application component. How can what you have learned be extended to real-life situations that you will encounter? How will it change how you think/respond in the future?
