Show and Tell!
Don’t underestimate the power of creativity!
You can ask students to divide into groups to create a representation of what they learned from the lesson. Make sure you tell them that you do not want just a summary or "replay" of the lesson -- but an example of what people can DO with what they have learned. Give them 2-3 specific criteria of what you would like included, but encourage them to use any format they would like! They can make a poster, present a brief skit, write a poem, create a song/rap, the possibilities are endless. The point here is to stretch their imagination and use their individual strengths to show off what they have learned! Each person/group should share with the class after they are done. This works well after a series of lessons as a cumulative review. Make sure you provide any supplies/materials they would need for their project.
